While Osprey Bay(18), Easters Cove(8), Timber Bay(8), Kings Point(28) and Bear Knob(16) are on the west side. ![]() The name Horsethief Creek will be going away and both loops will be referred to as Trout Landing(15 sites). Trout Landing and Horsethief Creek are on the NE side of the lake. Towards the bottom of thier page there is a link to a brochure for the campground and it is well done.Ĭampsites: There are 5 loops in Horsethief Reservoir Campground. The YMCA administers the campgrounds and they have a good website. The east side of the lake is private property and is posted "Do Not Trespass". The YMCA has a large facility on the south end of the reservoir that is off limits to the general public. During the summer, the lake can be very crowded. It is surrounded by gently rolling forested hills. Horsethief Reservoir is almost 2 miles long and one half mile wide. There are 270 acres on the north and west sides on the reservoir. It is not a state park as some other sites indicate. The Horsethief Reservoir Campground is owned by the Idaho Dept of Fish and Game. The hosts were available and did thier job well. I wonder if people and hosts were having a hard time adjusting to the $15 daily fee schedule. We have had several negative comments posted over the last couple years however we did not observe any of these negative circumstances during our visit. We provide infomation about this campground based on our observations and conditions may change over time. Harris mentions that the 'ladies of the evening' want very much to take part in the Bicentennial ceremonies, which Barney agrees must have been part of our heritage- Yemana: "sure, there were hookers around here 200 years does not own, manage or make reservations for this campground. Wojo brings in a guy (Bruce Solomon) selling clothing emblazoned with the American flag, and is chagrined to learn that he was a former Marine like himself. Judy Cassmore plays the streetwalker who delivered a Bicentennial button for $60 up to his hotel room, admitting to the assault when she was forced to collect afterwards. Fish recalls how he and Bernice used to ride in a hansom cab before they were married: "we'd sit there and hold hands, and I couldn't help thinking, looking at the back end of that horse, is he trying to tell me something?" Jack Dodson (first of four) plays a bloodied victim of abuse, who claims he was alone. With greater crowds due to the Bicentennial celebrations, he decides to steal a horse from the police stable, earning the wrath of Officer Shriker (Ron Masak), until he realizes the animal now seems much happier. (Wojo: "what do you say, we don't tell 'em it's a horse?" Barney: "I think you better tell 'em, they may come up with somebody!"). The always funny Liam Dunn plays a hansom cab owner reporting a theft to Wojo- "when did you first notice that your horse was missing?" Wojo describes the stolen property to Barney- brown eyes, brown hair, two white stockings, stands about 6'3, and weighs about 1200 lbs. "Horse Thief" features a stellar comic cast in a Bicentennial theme.
